If you see a road closed sign, followed by a flashing Police car ahead of it displaying 'road closed', please slow & approach with care.
Use obs & planning, read the sign & turn to find alternative route - DON’T drive up to the Police car & look to pass like some did today.

So, according to this nonsense, you should EITHER, slow and approach with care, OR, use obs and planning, read the sign, and the turn and find an alternative route. Personally, I would recommend the latter, how about you?

Surely it can’t be that difficult to understand? It’s one set of instructions to follow. There’s not two options to be considered, just the one! And why is it nonsense? It’s common sense to most drivers, but seemingly not all.

No matter what the sign or instruction there are always those who think it doesn't apply to them, funnily enough they will also be the same ones who if/when they come to grief, it's someone else's fault.
